Yes. Composite surrounds are engineered for daily use — they're waterproof, stain-resistant, and built to last 10–15 years with zero maintenance. They won't crack, peel, or mold like outdated fiberglass. This is the same material installed in new construction homes across the Triangle.

Is this the same material that comes in new homes?

Exactly. Builders install composite surrounds in new construction homes priced at $400K and above. It's the industry standard for clean, functional bathrooms — not a compromise, just a different product than tile.

Can I upgrade to Real Tile later?

Absolutely. Many of our clients start with Smart Start and upgrade to Real Tile 2–3 years later when the budget allows. The composite surround removes cleanly, and we'll make sure your walls are prepped for tile when you're ready.

How long does installation take?

Smart Start Clean installs in 1–2 days. Select and Premium take 2–3 days depending on configuration. Compare that to big box stores that take 2–4 weeks for the same materials.

What's included in the price? Any hidden costs?

Every Smart Start package includes demolition of your old material, the new composite surround, fixtures, plumbing connections, and professional cleanup. The price you see is the price you pay — no hidden fees, no surprise add-ons.

Why is this so much cheaper than big box stores?

Big box stores add layers of markup, scheduling overhead, and subcontractor fees. We use the exact same composite surrounds available at any home improvement store — we just cut out the middlemen and install them ourselves. Same product, fraction of the price.
