Every project completed to sign-off before the final 30% is collected.
No lump sums. Pay on signing, demo complete, and final walkthrough — in that order.
Three questions. Your realistic starting range. Takes 20 seconds.
Published. Transparent. Real starting numbers — locked into a scope-fixed quote at your free visit.
Kit-based walk-in conversion. Five complete package tiers from budget-conscious to full ADA. 2–5 day install. Five wall finishes, four base options, four fixture sets. Every package includes the Proof Pack and Showerly warranty.
Real tile — always. Ceramic to large-format architectural stone. Curbless with linear drain available on every package. ANSI A118.10 waterproofing is non-negotiable. Frameless glass priced separately.
New-construction composite surround system. Professional finish in 2–3 days. Standard 60" alcove required — confirmed at visit. Best value-to-quality ratio for straightforward replacements.
Everything beyond the shower. Mix and match — safety bars, LVP floors, vanities, LED mirrors, toilet upgrades, heated floors. One crew, one visit, everything handled.
Frameless, semi-frameless, custom shapes. Measured and fabricated to spec.
LED mirrors, smart dimmers, ultra-quiet vents, Bluetooth speakers. Same-day possible.
Every variable that affects your final price — explained honestly. We'd rather you know this before we meet than be surprised during the quote.
Moving your valve or drain location requires opening walls and potentially the subfloor. It adds scope and time that can't be estimated until we see the existing rough-in. Always quoted explicitly before work begins.
If demo reveals rot, mold, or a failed vapor barrier, we stop. We document everything with photos and give you a written change order with exact pricing before proceeding. Your decision, always.
Composite panels vs. architectural stone tile. Standard chrome vs. matte black designer fixtures. Material cost is usually the largest single variable in any remodel quote.
Frameless glass is custom-measured and fabricated to your specific opening. Semi-frameless is the best cost-to-style value. Full frameless commands a premium. Custom shapes (steam, angles) are priced individually.
Our kit-based systems are optimized for the standard 60" alcove. Wider or narrower spaces require custom cuts, different material quantities, and sometimes modified framing — all priced at the visit.
Niches, heated floor mats, grab bars, LED lighting, handheld heads, caddies. Each is individually priced at the visit. We carry a full catalog and will show you options in the space.
“They quoted me $9,400 at the visit. That's exactly what I paid at the end. I've never had a contractor do that.”
“I was nervous about hidden costs. They found a soft spot in the subfloor, stopped, showed me photos, and gave me an exact number before touching anything else. $340 more. That was it.”
“The 40/30/30 structure made me feel like I was in control. I could see what was done before each payment. Total peace of mind.”
The honest answer — with market context.
A comparable tub-to-walk-in conversion in the Triangle market through a national remodeling chain typically runs $14,000–$22,000. Independent contractors who don't publish prices often land in the same range or higher, without the transparency.
Our published pricing is competitive for the quality level — real materials, professional install, documented at every stage. Not the cheapest quote you'll get. The cheapest quote is rarely the one you want opening your walls.
Estimates based on publicly available data and local market knowledge. Showerly pricing includes Proof Pack documentation, scope-locked quote, and 40/30/30 payment structure. Final prices vary based on scope.
You pay when work is done — not before. The 30% at completion is only collected after your walkthrough is signed.
Your quote is signed. We immediately order your specific materials — tile, panels, fixtures, glass — from our suppliers. Your install date is locked into our schedule. Nothing starts until you've reviewed every line of the quote.
Old tub and surround are out. Rough plumbing is verified. Substrate is prepped and ready. You see inside your walls before this payment is due. If we find anything unexpected, we document it and discuss it here.
Installation is complete. Walkthrough is done. Punch list is resolved. Proof Pack is in your hands. Warranty is registered. Only then is the final payment due. Not before. Not during. After.
Not boilerplate. The questions homeowners actually ask before signing.
No. Your signed quote is your price. We’ve never issued a post-signature price increase on a signed project. The only exception in existence: if we open the wall and find structural rot or a failed vapor barrier that was physically impossible to see before demolition. In that case, we stop — take photos — hand you a written change order with an exact number — and wait for your decision. No work proceeds without your signature. Ever.
Yes, every job varies. But “call for a quote” is a wall between you and the information you need to make a decision. Published pricing is a commitment to transparency — not a guarantee of the exact number, but a promise that we’re not going to show up and quote $18,000 when you were expecting $8,000. The range is real. The variables that move you within it are on this page. You arrive at the visit informed, not guessing.
If we find water damage, rot, or mold during demolition, we stop immediately. We document it with photos — before touching anything else — and give you a written change order with an exact, line-item price to remediate. You decide whether to proceed. If you decide not to, you owe only for the demo work already completed. The remediation cost is yours to approve before a single additional hour of labor is spent.
Ask that contractor what waterproofing system they use. Ask if they do a subfloor inspection before installing. Ask what happens if they find mold behind the surround. Ask what warranty they put in writing, and what photos you’ll have of the work behind the walls. Our prices include ANSI A118.10 waterproofing, documented stage-by-stage, with a written warranty and the Proof Pack. A $4,200 shower that fails in two years costs $11,000 to remediate properly. We’ve seen it. Your call.
Free. No fee. No catch. We come to you, measure the space, walk through every option, and give you a written quote. You keep the quote whether or not you hire us. We do this because the quality of the quote depends on seeing the space — we can’t give you an accurate number from a phone call, and we won’t try. If the free visit is valuable to you regardless of whether you hire us, great. If you end up hiring us, even better.
Yes. Financing is available — ask during the free consultation. The 40/30/30 milestone structure already spreads the payment across the project, which many homeowners find helpful for cash flow management. For larger projects, financing options are available with credit qualification. We’ll walk through both during your visit.
We'll come to you, measure the space, walk through every option, and leave you with a written scope-locked quote. No pressure. No obligation. No deposit to get the quote.
